Our process

We will assess the state of the concrete, step surfaces and safety. The condition then  determines the course of action to repair and update the entire staircase or certain areas. If the surface is too heavily damaged, deteriorated/spalling or discoloured it may need a cup grind to prepare the surface for repair or levelling as needed. Pressure wash, cleaning, and a thin set coat of cement resurfacing with a broom or smooth finishes. A full clean up and the surfaces can last for 10+years. It can be painted, sealed,  and add that curb appeal or update your looking for at a reasonable rate.

Vintage Concrete Staircase Update/Repair

This is a project that was completed by our company and the homeowner. The homeowner had a very old concrete staircase that was showing its age. The homeowner wanted to keep the staircase but make it look better.

We came up with the idea of using different colors in order to hide some of the imperfections with the old concrete. We also added a new handrail and balusters to match the new colors used on the steps.

This is a great example of how painting can change the whole look of an old staircase!
